Fall is here

To celebrate the start of October, Meagan invited mom and dad out to Patterson Fruit Farm for some fun in the sun. Although it was a little muddy, we all had fun. As you can see by the following pictures, Meagan is a big fan of slides. She also enjoyed the tractor rides and apple fritters! Meagan is trying very hard to speak. She has a large vocabulary, however only a select few actually know what she is saying. Sort of a mix of English and drivel. "Momma" has become one of her favorite words. Meagan is still eating like a horse, but she is still very small for her age.

More fun in the sun

Meagan just came off of a HUGE weekend! Saturday was filled with fun in the sun events. She started her day at Farm Park with mom and dad. As you can see here, she was more interested in the rocks and sticks than the Alpacas. She did enjoy looking at the baby animals, but will probably have more fun here next year. The afternoon was spent with Grandma and aunt Christine riding the trains. She just loved this - waved to all the people she passed and clapped when each ride was over. Meagan is still not saying much, but she is running all over the place and wreaking havoc in the house. Her biggest thrill these days is standing on things she is not supposed to and lauging at mom and dad when we tell her to get down. She plays a similar game with the stairs. Meagan still seems pretty small for her age, but we will get confirmation when she heads to the doctor next week

Beating the heat

It's hotter than the sun in these parts lately, but Meagan is handling the heat well. Meagan took mom, dad and grandma out to the Tall Ships festival downtown this weekend. Nothing beats thousands of people crammed together on a 90 degree day! Meagan seemed to be the only one who did not mind the heat. She had fun running around through the crowd and listening to the band. Later in the weekend, we all went swimming in "The big pool" at Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Chris's house. Meagan is much more of a sport about the water this year and had fun floating around with mom and dad. She also would jump off the side into mom's arms. We will have her going off the 10 meter board by the end of August!

14 months and going strong!

Meagan is loving life these days. She is now up to 9 teeth and can eat just about anything (and does). She is very active, running all over the house as well as the neighborhood. So far, no talking other than "Hi!", but we are working on it. Meagan is now pointing at everything she is interested in or wants although sometimes it can be difficult for mom and dad to determine what she is pointing at. She still loves her flash cards and books. She knows all of her flash cards now which is a good party trick when guests come by. Her activity level has trimmed her down quite a bit and she is looking more like a toddler than a baby these days. Mom, dad and the grandmas are getting Meagan outside as much as we can and she is loving every minute of it! Meagan is looking forward to a fun summer in the parks and yard.
