6 Months in the books

Meagan had her 6 month check up today and doc says everything is good. She checked in at 26 1/2 inches long, 17 pounds 9 oz. - both in the 75th percentile. She was also given 2 more injections - she did not like this quite so much. Her recovery was quick and is now sleeping peacefully. Meagan went on a new adventure this weekend in her new jogging stroller. She enjoyed getting out in the fresh air at high speed - well, mid speed anyway. Mom and dad can now get our exercise with baby in tow!

Meagan makes a friend

Meagan hosted a family get together yesterday and was quite the social butterfly. She spent appropriate time conversing with each guest and as you can see, took time out for some photo opps with her new friend Evan. They were both the center of attention all night. They did cause some concerne as they each pounded several bottles on the evening - perhaps a minor "drinking problem". Meagan did not even make it past 8:30 before passing out and having to be carried to bed. How embarrassing.

Meagan gets a break from mom and dad

Meagan got a few days of relief from the constant badgering of Mom and Dad. Finally, some independance! Mom and dad spent a couple of days in Tampa (well planned, Florida in August!). By all accounts, Meagan had fun on her little vacation as well. Mom and Dad thought that after this grown up weekend, it would be a good time to try food from a spoon. Meagan got a taste of some mashed up rice and milk today (yummy!). As you can see, she did not enjoy the experience. Mom and dad will keep trying - she will be to crushed up steamed peas in no time!
