Party in Meagan's honor
Meagan had a big Sunday on the 24th. This was her Baptism day, and the day was welcomed with a fresh helping of snow! Meagan and mom and dad want to thank everyone who attended again for being there despite the weather. Meagan was absolutely perfect throughout the ceremony (probably due to the pacifier wedged in her grill the entire time). Meagan then hosted a get together at home for the attendees. She was the perfect hostess, spending a little time with each guest and even giving a lucky few a glimpse of her smile. Meagan would like to thank everyone again for the wonderful presents she received. We have her big 2 month checkup next week, and unfortunately that means shots! Meagan's teases of sleeping through the night have dissapeared, but she still goes a good 4-5 hours at a clip.

Lots of updates
A lot has happened since the last posting. As you can see, we finally captured a Meagan smile! This is not an easy thing to do but the smiles themselves have become quite common. Meagan seems to prefer the AM hours and is quite lively and happy before late afternoon. Guess she is not taking after mom there! Meagan has been out and about frequently enjoying the spring weather. She took mom and dad to the Maple festival last weekend and enjoyed a trip to the grocery store. Meagan traveled well outside in the stroller and seems to enjoy large crowds - they put her to sleep! Dad and Meagan also made a trip to Ashland and back last weekend to see great grandma. She was quite content for the long car ride and even suffered through dad's choice in music (that certainly will not last long). Last night we had a sleeping breakthrough - Meagan made it 7 straight hours without a peep! We hope to have the next update a little sooner, the primary user of the site evidently changed the password without knowing it so no one could post any updates - what a moron, dad.

One month checkup
Meagan had her second visit to the doctor yesterday to check in on her progress. Although a little late for her 1 month, she seems to be about on track. The Doc was happy with her progress and no admonishments were leveled at Mom and Dad (Whew!). She weighed in at 10 pounds even and is now 21 inches long, both measurements within the acceptable range. I do not recall her head measurement, but it too was within a normal bean range. Meagan is now smiling occasionally at things she likes - Mom and Dad have been unsuccessful recording this, but it is happening. She is sleeping well and only has one crabby time - from the time dad gets home until she goes to bed! Until this weekend when the snow returned, she has been getting plenty of outside time with mom and apparently still quite disinterested in the neighborhood as she has slept through all of her outings. We will try to capture a smile in the next few days and get it posted
